The chances of hackers getting into and using your home computer are fairly slim - they aim at the bigger sites. It's still possible,
though, and there's always that troubling thought that they might be *trying*.
I'd strongly suggest you use ZoneAlarm - the leading program to fight this. It's free for personal use, reasonably priced for
business use, and just plain excellent. If you use IDSN, DSL, or a T-1 connection, you really should use ZoneAlarm (it has to do with a "static IP address")
I set ZoneAlarm to start-up automatically, and run it faithfully. It can be a bit of a bear to set up the first time, particularly if
you're on a network, but just work your way through the help files.
Download it at www.zonealarm.com - both the free and Professional versions are there.
