Choose your Start Up Page Provider

Choose from one of the leading Start Up page providers shown below.  If you have already signed up for a web-based e-mail account, it may make sense to set up your Start-Up page with the same provider for easy access to your e-mail (If you have set up MailCity as your e-mail account, set up Lycos as your personalized Start-Up page).
(note: all of these links will take you to the site you choose. Use the <back> button on the browser to return to this page)

  • Lycos (www.lycos.com)
A variety of customizable features, and very little personal information is required.  works in conjunction with the MailCity e-mail service.
  • Excite (www.excite.com)
The most customizable options, automatic e-mail account (and chat identity). A great deal of personal information is requested in order to provide such customization.
  • msn (www.msn.com)
Less customization, but very little personal information is required.  E-mail is handled by a separate sign-up through Hotmail. A Hotmail Passport provides multiple services beyond e-mail.
  • Netscape (www.my.netscape.com)
Very customizable, and includes an automatic e-mail account
  • AltaVista (www.live.altavista.com)
One of the most effective Search Engines - they offer a quality Start-Up page, and the option for a free e-mail account.
  • Yahoo (www.my.yahoo.com)
One of the largest (but not really the best) Web Directories provides a very good Start-Up Page with many features, including free e-mail.
